FAQs

How do I prepare for my chemical peel treatment?

1 month before your treatment, it is important to follow any specific skincare instructions from our expert providers. Otherwise, continue your normal skincare regime. 2 weeks before, meticulously use SPF 50+ and avoid sunburns, tanning beds, and self-tanners. 3 days before, maintain your normal skincare but pause products with active ingredients like retinol, glycolic acid, AHAs, and BHAs, however it is crucial to maintain frequent SPF use.

How long is the downtime for a chemical peel?

Downtime typically lasts 3-5 days. During this time, you might experience peeling, redness, tightness, irritation, and increased sensitivity to sunlight. The intensity and duration depend on the peel's depth. Our expert providers will guide you through what to expect upon your initial consultation.

How do I care for my skin after a chemical peel?

Proper aftercare is crucial for healing and optimal results. Immediately after your treatment, patients may have a tanned appearance for a few hours, therefore it’s important to avoid touching your face for approximately 4 hours. In the evening, wash your face and resume your normal skincare routine, but skip any active ingredients. The next day onward, avoid intense sweating until peeling stops (around 3-7 days) and diligently use SPF 50+. Once peeling stops, you can resume your full skincare routine, including active ingredients. Maintain consistent SPF 50+ application!

Can You See Results After 1 Peel?

Yes, improvements in skin appearance can often be observed after just one chemical peel session. However, to achieve your desired results, multiple treatment sessions may be required depending on your specific skin concerns.

Can Chemical Peels be combined with other treatments?

Yes, chemical peels can be effectively combined with Botox®, to enhance overall results. When paired together, the chemical peel serves as a ToxBooster, amplifying the effectiveness of Botox. By scheduling both treatments at the same time, the process becomes more efficient, allowing the Botox to settle into the skin as the peeling process finishes. This combination not only maximizes the benefits of each treatment, but also leads to incredible results of a more rejuvenated, youthful appearance.
